This residence hall features communal and single user bathrooms, which are cleaned daily by Residential Custodial Staff (RCS). To ensure fair access to single user bathrooms, we ask that these spaces be reserved for necessary tasks, while activities such as makeup and hair styling are done in communal bathrooms or personal rooms. RCS also provides daily housekeeping for all public areas and 24-hour maintenance services to ensure comfort and convenience for all residents. Students are responsible for submitting work orders for their own rooms, which can be done through the Work Order Request page (accessible only while connected to the OHIO network).
History
History of Building
Built in 1958, the residence hall was opened in the fall of 1959 and originally housed 300 male students.
Abraham Lincoln
Lincoln Hall was named in honor of Abraham Lincoln in commemoration of the sesquicentennial of Lincoln's birth year. He was the sixteenth President of the United States, serving from 1861 - 1865. He was self-educated, and brought to the office personal integrity, intelligence, and humanity, plus the wholesome characteristics of his frontier upbringing. He guided the nation through its most perilous period and made a lasting impact in shaping the office of chief executive.
