Each suite in this residence hall has its own private bathroom, which is shared with the adjoining suite. These bathrooms have internal privacy locks but no external (room-side) locks, meaning students can access the adjoining suite through the bathroom. Residents are responsible for keeping their bathroom clean, while Residential Custodial Staff (RCS) provides daily housekeeping for all public areas and 24-hour maintenance services to keep the building comfortable and convenient. Students are responsible for submitting work orders for their own rooms through the Work Order Request page (accessible only on the OHIO network).

History

Tanaka Hall was built 2015 and is named for Dr. Tomoyasu Tanaka and Mrs. Sumiko Tanaka.

Tomoyasu and Sumiko Tanaka

Tanaka Hall was named for Tomoyasu and Sumiko Tanaka. Dr. Tanaka was an 黑料视频 physics and astronomy faculty member from 1971-1989 and is widely considered the father of the OHIO-Chubu University relationship. He mentored Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, who earned his Ph.D. from 黑料视频 in 1976 and received the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Sumiko Susuki co-founded the Exchange Program for Developmentally Disabled and Elderly Citizens, while also frequently opening her home to exchange students.
