The B.S. degree in Chemistry is chosen by students planning to enter a graduate program in chemistry or work in the chemical industry. A large number of our graduates from the bachelor of science Chemistry degree go on to take advanced degrees in all areas of chemistry and biochemistry.
The B.S. degree is accredited by the American Chemical Society. Upon completing the requirements for the B.S. degree with a major in chemistry, you are eligible for professional status in the American Chemical Society.
This program has no requirements beyond University admission and transfer requirements.

Students must complete a total of 45 semester credit hours of CHEM coursework, plus math and physics extra-departmental requirements.
