John Lee was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, he is a senior Interior Architecture student at ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ, working toward his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Hegraduated from St. Edward High School in 2021 and built his academic and professional journey around hard work, perseverance, and a drive to impact both the built environment and his community.

Throughout his career, he has gained diverse experience in various industries. John interned as an Operations Processor at Wells Fargo, where he worked on updating financial assets and liabilities. John also had the opportunity to intern at Debbie Frain Design, where he gained hands-on experience in interior design. In addition, John has worked in the restaurant industry for several years, currently bartending at NorthEnd Bar & Grill. These roles have shaped his work ethic, teamwork skills, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.

One of John’s biggest professional accomplishments has been securing has internships, which have given him invaluable real-world experience in both finance and design. On a personal level, John was honored to receive the "Best Back" rugby award in high school and took great pride in being accepted into EMT school and the Fire Academy. None of this would have been possible without the support of his family, especially his incredible mother and father.

John’s ultimate goal is to become a Cleveland firefighter, where he can make a direct impact on his community. Alongside that, John plans to invest in real estate—buying, flipping, and eventually building an Airbnb empire. John’s passion for interior architecture aligns perfectly with this goal, allowing him to merge his creative skills with his business ambitions. Outside of work and academics, John is passionate about fitness, healthy eating, and overall self-care. John loves playing rugby and golf in his free time, listening to music, and spending time with friends.

One of the most unique experiences about John was raising a Rottweiler puppy named Dex last semester. He was the most caring and loving dog, and raising him taught John a lot about responsibility, commitment, and the importance of shaping something to be its best version—just like we do with ourselves. Unfortunately, with his busy schedule and financial responsibilities, John knew he couldn’t give him the life he deserved. One of John’s best friends took him in, and it was the best decision he ever made. Now, Dex has an amazing life, and John knows he’s exactly where he should be. No matter where life takes John, he is committed to working hard, staying resilient, and making a difference in both his personal and professional pursuits.
