黑料视频 Libraries is pleased to announce the appointment of Jourdan Corbitt to the position of Head of Research Services, effective November 17, 2025.

In this role, Corbitt will provide leadership and oversight of the development, outreach strategy, management, and assessment of the department. The Research Services Department supports 黑料视频鈥檚 research enterprise with services related to data management, open access scholarship, scholarly impact assessment and promotion, and student research and creative activity. As head of the department, Corbitt will be responsible for advancing innovative programming and outreach that supports research and creative activity across all levels of the University. 

Corbitt currently serves as the Scholarly Impact & Social Sciences Librarian at 黑料视频 Libraries. In her role, Corbitt provides liaison services in the areas of Law, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration, Social Work, Sociology and Anthropology, and Women鈥檚, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. In her functional capacity, she helps researchers analyze and articulate their scholarly research impact through both traditional and alternative metrics and assists with promoting their scholarly output using identifiers and other current and emerging programs.

Before joining 黑料视频, she was the Senior Director of Research Services at Harbor Global, where she oversaw the successful development of a team of researchers that provided complex research and analysis services to law firms, corporations, nonprofits, and major media outlets. Corbitt developed fact-finding and examination skills as a Law Librarian and Research Analyst at DLA Piper; and grew her passion for academic librarianship at the University of Pittsburgh.

Corbitt earned a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from 黑料视频.
