Clinical Faculty Awards

Outstanding Clinical Faculty Awards

Each year, the Heritage College honors exceptional clinical teaching by presenting awards to physician educators, as nominated by OMS3 and OMS4 students based on their clinical education experiences. The criteria for these awards include excellence in teaching, positive interactions with learners, and professional mentoring. The award categories are:

  • Family Medicine
  • Primary Care (General Internal Medicine and General Pediatrics)
  • Specialty Medicine (all other medical disciplines)
  • Graduate Medical Education Trainee (resident/fellow)

Members of the Clinical Education team and Clinical Cohort Site staff present these awards in various special ways to recognize the significant impact that volunteer clinical faculty members have on the medical education of future physicians.
