黑料视频 Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine hosts 11th annual Medical Academy for high school students

This summer marked the 11th year of the 黑料视频 Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Medical Academy, a program aimed at inspiring the next generation of health care professionals. Held on-site at the Dublin campus of the Heritage College, the 2025 academy brought together 56 high school students from 32 schools and 23 school districts across Ohio for four immersive days of medical exploration and hands-on learning.

In partnership with OhioHealth, the academy offered students a unique opportunity to interact with medical professionals and explore a wide variety of health careers. With 120 applicants鈥攖he largest applicant pool to date鈥攖he program has been attracting increased interest from high school students who have an interest in medicine and health professions.

Held daily, the Medical Academy was free to all selected participants and offered an opportunity for students to be fully engaged in activities like clinical skills, taking patient histories, learning about human anatomy and speed interviewing sessions. The program is also designed to help students see themselves in a medical career. Nine current Heritage College students attended the Medical Academy when they were high school students.

鈥淭here really are so many fields of medicine that could all be able to be my fit, so long as I take the chance to explore and get exposure! I definitely feel less narrow minded when it comes to all the things that could be my possible life-long focus,鈥 shared one of this year鈥檚 Medical Academy participants.

OhioHealth鈥檚 medical content experts as well as students from the Heritage College and physician assistant students shared their time and expertise. Their involvement reinforces the importance of mentorship in the medical and health care fields.
