黑料视频 showcases campus, community to a national audience as part of NACAC conference activities

As part of 黑料视频鈥檚 sponsorship for this year鈥檚 National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) conference in Columbus, the Undergraduate Admissions team hosted 40 school counselors from across the world on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Athens Campus, providing them with an up-close look at the academic and experiential learning opportunities available across OHIO.

鈥淲e were excited to welcome so many counselors to campus, nearly all from outside Ohio and even three from abroad,鈥 said Mateo Remsburg, assistant vice president for enrollment management and executive director of Undergraduate Admissions. 鈥淭he visit highlighted OHIO鈥檚 exceptional academic and co-curricular opportunities and the beauty of our campus, giving counselors insights they can share with students and families who may not otherwise discover us.鈥

As part of their visit, the school counselors were able to learn more about OHIO's academic programs and engage in in-depth sessions with two academic colleges of their choice. They were also provided an opportunity to experience the beauty of OHIO鈥檚 campus and receive a glimpse of OHIO鈥檚 newest residence hall, Roderick J. McDavis Hall.

During lunch, current OHIO students shared their Forever OHIO experiences while also taking some time to answer counselor questions and share some of their personal stories about the academic opportunities, supportive staff and faculty mentorship they鈥檝e encountered during their time at the University.

Although the counselors鈥 visit to campus was short, the group relayed that OHIO鈥檚 commitment to building community and providing student support was abundantly clear across campus.

鈥淔or such a short time on campus, I was really able to see and feel the care, support, and intentionality for community at OHIO,鈥 said Mallory LaPlant, college and career counselor at Saint John Vianney High School in Kirkwood, Mo. 鈥淪tarting with the welcome on our bus ride to the engineering tour and their 'Create for Good' motto to catching up with one of my freshmen who is currently attending OU and loving his experience!鈥

Counselors who were unable to visit OHIO鈥檚 campus will be provided an opportunity to meet with the OHIO delegation during the remainder of NACAC conference in Columbus, OH, including the conference鈥檚 鈥淐ounselor College Fair鈥 scheduled for Friday afternoon.
