Students help shape Scripps pride with new t-shirt design
Scripps College of Communication faculty and staff will sport a new look this year thanks to a student-designed T-shirt created by Kayla Payne, who won the college鈥檚 2025 T-shirt design contest.
Scripps student , who is a junior studying Information Graphics and Publication Design in the School of Visual Communication won the college鈥檚 2025 T-shirt design contest, earning a $100 prize and a complimentary shirt featuring her winning artwork.
The Dean鈥檚 Office invited more than 2,000 Scripps students to submit designs earlier this year, encouraging them to showcase how they would represent the college鈥檚 programs. The winning design was selected by Dean Scott Titsworth.
鈥淭he goal was to connect our students鈥 creativity with the pride our faculty and staff feel for Scripps,鈥 Dean Scott Titsworth said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a small but powerful reminder that we all contribute to what makes this college special.鈥
Each year, Scripps provides branded items to its faculty and staff as a way to celebrate shared identity and pride in the college. This year鈥檚 shirt adds a student鈥檚 creative voice to that tradition.
