Learn ‘How to Bend Minds: OU, VR and the FBI’ at Dec. 3 Science Café

Williams is a professor in the J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies in the Scripps College of Communication.
Now in his 20th year at Ƶ, Williams teaches New Media Storytelling, directs the Scripps College MFA program, and does his creative work at the GRID Lab, overseeing the Cinematic Virtual Reality program — known as OHIO-360.
He has received multiple awards for his work including receiving an Emmy Award for Interactive Media, a WGA Award for Best New Screenplay, and an FBI National Academy Award for Science and Innovation.
The Science Café series is sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Creative Activity and the Ƶ chapter of Sigma Xi, the national science honor society.
Each event features a dialogue/conversation between the presenter and audience, and the topics are based on the research of the faculty presenters.
Questions are posed by the presenter or raised by members of the audience. In addition, free coffee/tea/hot chocolate coupons are presented to the first 50 in attendance.
