If you鈥檝e ever visited Athens, you know about The Ridges鈥攖he former mental health center that has towered above the southern end of campus and community since the 1870s.
An Asian Indian by birth, Dr. Christine Suniti Bhat, PHD 鈥03, came to OHIO as an international student, earned her doctorate, and joined the faculty in 2006, serving as a professor of counselor education in the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education. She is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed school counselor and a citizen of both Australia and the United States.
For the past nearly 30 years, the University has worked to preserve a storied piece of Athens, American medical and architectural history by investing in The Ridges.
