The success of our graduates starts with a strong internship program. Internships give students valuable real-world experiences that help in gaining the experience needed to secure full-time employment in the communication industry.
Internship Report Form
Are you an 黑料视频 Scripps College of Communication student headed into an internship experience? We'd love to know about it!
The Scripps College of Communication encourages ALL students in the college to complete and report internships. Completing internships and reporting them on the Internship Report Form is REQUIRED for students in the E.W. School of Journalism and the School of Visual Communication.
You MUST complete the form in its entirety, complete with your supervisor name and email.
JOURNALISM students: After you have completed the Internship Report Form, your internship supervisor will receive an email from 黑料视频 Scripps College of Communication with an internship evaluation link and password that allows them to complete and return your internship evaluation. Your internship evaluation form is used to verify that you have completed your internships. After your internship supervisor completes your evaluation form, it will be sent to you academic advisor for approval. After your academic advisor approves your internship evaluation form, your DARS will be updated to reflect you have completed your internship requirement for your degree.

Mirage x Creator Economy Intern
Part Time: Start Date: August 18, 2025
Time Commitment: 60 hours/month
Role: Business Development InternMirage is looking for a Gen Z-minded intern who lives online and wants to break into the creator economy. If you鈥檙e the kind of person who already knows which creators are blowing up on TikTok, YouTube, or Snap before they hit mainstream, this is your lane. You鈥檒l help us scout and reach out to emerging talent, license content from creators and IP owners, and assist with day-to-day account management for syndicated platforms like Snapchat Discover and OTT streaming services. This is a remote, part-time role (15-18 hours/week), ideal for someone freshly out of college (or in college) looking to get real industry experience and a front-row seat to the business side of digital media.
Responsibilities:
Creator Sourcing and Outreach
Weekly KPI鈥檚: Sourcing 300 creators with contact information (150 for social onboarding, 150 for licensing opportunities)
Outreach KPI鈥檚: Email 100 sourced creators and maintain followups for pipeline.
Management: Track and manage ongoing conversations to convert to partners.
Account Management: Monitor select few social accounts and offer creative input where appropriate.
Project Assistance: Assist business development with ongoing projects and learn the ins and outs of traditional and new age media.Compensation Package:

Appalachian Children Coalition Communications and Marketing Intern
The Appalachian Children Coalition (ACC) is seeking a motivated and creative Communications and Marketing Intern to support our mission of improving the health and well-being of children in Ohio鈥檚 Appalachian region. This part-time, paid internship offers a valuable opportunity for students or early-career professionals interested in nonprofit communications, marketing, and community outreach. The intern will play a key role in enhancing ACC鈥檚 visibility, promoting events, and creating content that reflects the values and impact of our organization.
Type: Part-Time
Hours: Up 15 hours per week.
Salary: $12/hour
Location: Hybrid (Remote with some required time at office in Athens, Ohio)Main responsibilities:
Develop and curate content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
Assist with writing and distributing e-newsletter
Support the creation of marketing materials (flyers, brochures, posters)
Draft, edit, and track both internal and external communication

Skills required:

Position: Media and Communications
Mission/Purpose: Reporting to the National Fisheries Institute (NFI) Chief Strategy Officer, this Media and Communications position will produce content that benefits advocacy efforts and helps NFI meet priorities. Through stronger legislative, regulatory, and communications advocacy, NFI promotes the health benefits of seafood, builds a stronger defense of aquaculture as a solution to hunger, reduces barriers to exports and imports of safe and nutritious seafood, ensures continued access to the nation鈥檚 sustainably managed fisheries, and ensures a level playing field for seafood products.
Responsibilities: Execute on NFI digital & editorial communications, implement public relations strategies and campaigns for the association, contribute to improving NFI鈥檚 user experiences across digital properties, support association success, direct and implement public affairs strategies and efforts.

- Where would like to intern? Think about the type of internship, possible company and geographic location (city or state).
- Think about the type of internship experience you want to have. What skills do you want to build during this experience? Think about your long-term career path.
- Network on and the Bobcat Network with professors, friends, family and other Bobcats.
- Ask questions about how they got to where they are now, ask for industry feedback, and ask for tips on how to break into the industry.
- Expand your network by asking if they know anyone else you need to meet and with whom to speak.

- Specific company websites 鈥 If you鈥檙e interested in a particular geographic area, you may need to look at the possibilities and then make inquiries. For example, if you want to intern at a newspaper, first make a list of the newspapers in the area and then do some research on their websites to see if they list internships. If not, you might contact them and let them know you are interested.
