Baker University Center Floor Map Descriptions
First Floor
Inside the Southwest entrance, you will find lounge space on your right and left, as well as escalators traveling up and down. Just past the escalators, you will find the Admissions Info Desk, with the Parking Garage Elevator on your left and an ATM and coat closet on your right. The Undergraduate Admissions Visitors’ Lounge is located in the Southern corner of the building. The West 82 Food Court is located in the Northwest side of the building and also includes the Life is Sweet dining option. The Maggie Davis Room is located in the farthest West corner of the food court. Elevators are centrally located in the building, as is the Bobcat Depot. Southeast of the Bobcat Depot, you will find restrooms for all genders as well as the Latitude 39 casual dining restaurant.
Second Floor
This level includes 11 conference rooms, a multipurpose room, and a 190-seat theater. The conference rooms are arranged along the outer edges of the floor, labeled numerically. The large multipurpose room is centrally located and can be divided into two sections. The theater is positioned near one end of the floor, with a clearly marked stage and seating area. Hallways and elevators provide access to other floors. Public restrooms are located to the East.
Third Floor
Centrally located is the Bobcat HangOUt student engagement space. To the north of the HangOUt are three conference rooms. East of the HangOUt there are offices and support spaces lining the perimeter: student organization centers (Amanda J. Cunningham Leadership Center), student media rooms (All Campus Radio Network, The Post); student programming offices (Black Student Cultural Programming Board, International Student Union, University Program Council); student governance offices (Graduate Student Senate, Student Senate); offices for the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Center for Student Engagement and Leadership are to the east. Restrooms are also located to the East, next to centrally located escalators. Community Standards and Student Responsibility, Dean of Students, and Health Promotions offices are all located on the West side of the building. The Veterans' lounge and center can be found on the Northwest side of the building. The office for New Student and Family Engagement occupies most of the far West side of the floor.
Fourth Floor
At the College Green entrance to the floor, a Guest Services & Event Services desk is located immediately to the left of the main atrium. Adjacent is the US Postal Service location. The Trisolini Gallery is shown on one side of the atrium. The Grand Ballroom occupies the largest central space and is surrounded by pre-function areas and a south-facing balcony. The Front Room Coffeehouse is mapped nearby, overlooking Emeriti Park. The Honors Collegium is located just off the main entrance. Elevators, staircases, restrooms, and escalators are centrally located.
Fifth Floor
Undergraduate Admissions, Career Services and the 1804 Lounge are all located on the East side, along with restrooms. Stairs and elevators provide access to this floor. Cat's Cupboard food pantry is across the walkway.
