The Patton College Professional Development Institute program is offered for 15-18 credit hours, depending on the requirements for professional licensure.
Candidates who hold a bachelor's degree may seek an Alternative Resident Educator (RE) license. Please review the guidelines for this program from the Ohio Department of Education to see if this program would work for you. Note: You must complete Steps 1-6 of the program through ODE before you can begin taking courses ().
Candidates can register for these courses during the Fall, Spring, or Summer term and can work at their own pace, but must complete each course in one academic semester (15 weeks). Due to the time commitment required to complete coursework while teaching, we recommend taking no more than two courses in the fall and spring, but you can take more in the summer if your schedule allows.
