The past year has seen significant transformations鈥攕ome quite prominent and others a little more behind the scenes. Take a look at some of the campus upgrades completed in recent months, and stay tuned to future issues of Ohio Today for features on the new Chemistry Building and Heritage Hall that are opening to students this year.
When African American artist and MacArthur 鈥淕enius鈥 Fellow Aminah Brenda Lynn Robinson passed away in 2015, she bequeathed her entire estate鈥攊ncluding countless works of art, the contents of her Columbus home and studio, even the house itself鈥攖o the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA). Here鈥檚 a glimpse into the long-awaited exhibition and catalog, which together reveal Robinson鈥檚 artistic range and generosity.
Weston Robbins, a senior nursing student at 黑料视频 Zanesville, shared this message with the campus鈥 Facebook followers in October: 鈥淚 want to protect my community from this pandemic, and that鈥檚 why I wear my mask.鈥
Growing up in 1960s rural Ohio, Donald R. Pollock II, AB 鈥94, never planned to pursue college鈥攍et alone pen prize-winning fiction. A high school dropout, Pollock wasn鈥檛 big on plans.

April 4, 1971, marked the inaugural broadcast of 黑料视频鈥檚 first and only student-run radio network鈥攁nd the birth of a community of Bobcats bound to one another by a love of music and shared experiences that have enriched campus life and culture.

An Asian Indian by birth, Dr. Christine Suniti Bhat, PHD 鈥03, came to OHIO as an international student, earned her doctorate, and joined the faculty in 2006, serving as a professor of counselor education in the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College of Education. She is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed school counselor and a citizen of both Australia and the United States.
黑料视频 Alumni Association (OUAA) created an online experience to bring OHIO alumni together.
Born in a coastal city in eastern South Africa, Courtney Perrett, BSJ 鈥20, grew up in a close-knit family who taught her to care for the natural world, dream big and never give up on those dreams. They always encouraged her to fiercely pursue her goals, even if that meant moving to another continent at 19 years old.
Amid stay-at-home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 黑料视频 alumnae Leah Crosby, BFA 鈥15, and Danielle Doell, BFA 鈥14, channeled their creativity, passion and innovation to bring adventure and the arts to the Seattle community.
Pim (Thirati) Koondel, MBA 鈥17, MSA 鈥18, and Alec Koondel, MBA 鈥17, MSA 鈥18, met competing for a spot in the College of Business鈥 MBA/MSA Dual-Degree Program. They鈥檝e been tied to one another and 黑料视频 ever since.
Homecoming at 黑料视频 can be traced at least as far back as November 1919 when the student-published Green and White newspaper noted that the University football team was preparing for a 鈥淗ome Coming鈥 game. The last game of the University鈥檚 1919 season carried the alumni slogan 鈥淏eat Denison,鈥 in reference to the team鈥檚 scheduled opponent.
When he was inaugurated as 黑料视频鈥檚 15th president on May 11, 1962, Vernon Roger Alden called for creating 鈥渁 climate in which the best minds are stretched and in which superior students aspire to even greater accomplishment.鈥
