Since 1987, the Friends of India at ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ has hosted the Indo-American Friendship Day celebration. Along with other sponsors, the Friends of India invite you to take part in a night of Indian Culture and Cuisine to raise money for various causes.

Where: Baker Center Ballroom, ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ

Order of Events

  • 5 p.m.: Doors Open
  • 5 to 6 p.m.: Appetizers & Cash Bar
  • 6 to 7 p.m.: Cultural Program
  • 7 p.m.: Dinner catered by Aangan Indian Bistro, Dublin, Ohio

  • 6:00 p.m.: Welcome from Emcees- Dr. Pragya Sengupta & Dr. Arindham Mukherjee
  • 6:05 p.m.: Opening Remarks from Chair of FOIE, Dr. Maria Modayil
  • 6:10 p.m.: Mayor's Address by Athens Mayor Steve Patterson
  • 6:15 p.m.: Kid/Adult dance
  • 6:25 p.m.: Remarks from Dr. Haley Duschinski
  • 6:30 p.m.: Carnatic Music Performance by Dr. Garrett Field
  • 6:40 p.m.: Student Play & Music
  • 6:55 p.m.: Indian Dance featuring Sai Arts Group
  • 7:05 p.m.: Closing Remarks by Dr. Vipin Koshal

      • With tickets ($500) - Four tickets to the dinner

      • With tickets ($300) - Two tickets to the dinner
      • Without tickets ($200)  
    • Bobcat
      • Send two OHIO students to the dinner ($100) – these students will be provided with free tickets acknowledging your support
    • General support
      • Support includes amount of your choice

  • Ticket Information

    Dinner tickets for individuals are available now!

    To buy tickets, follow the following steps: 

    1. Click on the button "Register Now or Sponsor the Friends of India Dinner!"
    2. Provide your information (note- you have to fill in information that is required)
    3. If buying tickets for more that one attendee, you must "Add Attendee" at the bottom of the page and provide information for each of your attendee
    4. You have the opportunity to "Select your ticket" for each of your attendee
    5. The "Add-Ons" page allows you to donate to the Friends of India Endowment
    6. Finalize your order in "Order Review"
